The question of whether it is legal to play online casino games via the internet is a tough one to answer because the answer can swing either way, depending on where you are located. In some parts of the United States, it is legal to wager bets in an online casino. In other parts of the country and some parts of the world, it is completely illegal but the risk is yours to take since online casino games can be accessed from, literally, anywhere in the world. Now, you can even play online casino games on a cell phone, so, the answer is…it depends on your circumstance.

There is no real law against playing online games in a casino based on the internet. In fact, in a recent case in the United States, it was ruled that placing online casino games is NOT against federal law, so basically, fans of online casino games can continue with their play without fear. However, the same cannot be said for state laws because some states DO prohibit online casino games. But it is rare.

For what it is worth, the gaming sites are located in countries where hosting such programs legal. Hence, it is not illegal and onus is not on the operators of such  internet casinos to confirm the location of the gamers. They can continue to serve and let players from United States to play in their
online casino if they so wish.
